Dear 3rd-5th Grade Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the South Carolina College and Career-Ready Assessment (SC READY)
testing, we appreciate your partnership in helping our students do their very best. To ensure a smooth and successful testing experience, please read the following important reminders.
Testing Dates
April 30th - ELA TDW (Text-Dependent Writing)
May 5th - ELA Part A
May 6th - ELA Part B
May 13th - Math Part A
May 14th - Math Part B
May 19th - Science (4th graders only)
Arrive On Time
It is essential that students arrive at school on time each day of testing. Reminder: Doors open at 7:00 a.m. School starts at 7:25 a.m. If you want your child to eat breakfast at school, arrive between 7:00 a.m. - 7:25 a.m.
Attendance Matters
Please refrain from scheduling doctor’s appointments, family trips, or other out-of-school activities during testing hours and/or day(s).
Electronic Device Policy
In accordance with SC test security law and State Board Regulations, students are prohibited from having any electronic device in their possession during testing. This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses, wireless earbuds, and electronic translation devices. All electronic devices will be collected prior to testing by the test administrator for return to the student at the end of testing. Noncompliance with this requirement will result in discipline consequences. This restriction does not apply to electronic medical devices that are documented for use in a student’s IEP, 504 Plan, or Individual Health Plan, such as those devices needed for monitoring diabetes as an example.
